Southport Christian School is an independent, interdenominational Christian School. 

The school was founded in 1996 by concerned parents and religious leaders who desired an alternative to the public school education and environment. The school was founded as an elementary school and was located on River Road in Southport.  The growth of the school and the expansion into higher grades caused the school to outgrow the original campus. In 2013, Southport Christian moved to their new home on the campus of Beach Road Baptist. Although not affiliated with the church, Southport Christian and Beach Road Baptist have a wonderful relationship sharing all the amenities of the campus. 

SCS now offers grades from 3 year old pre-school through high school.

SCS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Teachers at SCS are qualified, committed and are professing Christians who enthusiastically demonstrate and proclaim God’s love. Class size is limited to ensure personal attention.
