The Annual Growth Fund represents approximately 10% of our budget and supports the ministry and mission of Southport Christian School. It was the vision of our founders in 1996 that SCS would be affordable for the families in our community. We continue to be committed and passionate today about our founders' vision to be accessible to any family wanting an excellent education in a Christ-centered school.

Why is it Important?
Our Growth Fund provides resources for capital improvements, security and safety equipment, staffing and training, technology upgrades, and science-lab equipment. SCS completed an extensive Security & Safety Campus project last Fall. Our goal is to provide the safest possible learning environment for all of our students. Our Fall project included the installation of indoor and outdoor security cameras, full-time security personnel, and a buzz-in gate system for all campus visitors.
Who does the growth fund benefit?
The Growth Fund helps provide vital, scientific instruments and equipment for the Science Lab, which provides students with the opportunity to collect data, build models, and test ideas. It is imperative that students have the equipment necessary to explore, interact, and run their own experiments to understand how our world works. Our student scientists learn to view science through the Christian worldview.
